This walkthrough assumes paid multicloud (1 Gbps) — typical when the Free Tier quota is already used in your Region/CSP pair (ap-southeast-1 → GCP).

Danger

GCP transport pricing is hourly (~$5.00/hr for the lowest listed APAC tier). AWS paid interconnect adds ~$1.37/hr at Tier 1 / 1 Gbps. Tear down interconnect resources before terraform destroy (see Teardown).

Keeping costs low

1. Infra exploration only — run terraform apply and skip Steps 3–5; destroy when done.
2. Full connectivity test (paid) — budget ~$26–30 for a ~4-hour session; delete peering, transport, and AWS interconnect promptly.
3. Do not leave it running overnight — GCP transport dominates; paid AWS adds ~$33/day at 1 Gbps.
4. Free Tier — one free 500 Mbps interconnect per AWS Region per CSP; if already used, select AWS Interconnect – multicloud (paid) instead (terms).
